Default Photo album

Just cataloguing my uncle's photo album before offering it to the Royal Green Jackets Museum. I've said previously that I wouldn't give family medals to museums, but as I can copy these pictures, the regimental museum seems the right place for them as they are not actual family pictures. My uncle was serving with 1st Battalion, The Rifle Brigade, and at the time (early 1930's) was stationed at Wellington Barracks, Jullundur (also spelt Jalandhar), India.
Have included a few of the pics here.
Pic 18, img 5314 - Maybe someone can identify the crossed flags on the sleeve?
Pic 31, img 5325 - I've no idea what or who they are?
Pic 32, img 5327 - the 'M' on the sleeve cuff?
Pic 63, img 5335/5337 - just an interesting pic(s).
Img 5362 - 'If I should die, think only this of me; that there's some corner of a foreign field that is for ever England.'

Regards,
Leo

The flags are for a signaller.

The M might well be MP as in regimental military police.

Interesting in that the marksman and signaler arm badges appear to be the standard colored type instead of black on green?

Chaps, have attached all pics that show the same sleeve badges if these are of any additional help/interest.

I doubt a museum will appreciate the album and will probably be stuck somewhere and disposed of at ta later date, I'm sure someone here would realt like to be the keeper of it as long as they don't intend to to just sell it off, or perhaps a relative my like it.

Obviously the 1st RB did not wear the usual black embroidered trade/qualification badges at that time; at least not in India. They still retained their subdued rank and GC badges however.
I assume that some of the award badges would be bullion wire, or were they all as such?

Just received a reply from the curator at the Royal Green Jackets museum. Yes, they would like to add the photo's to their collection/archive, so I'll be taking it down there when I visit in June.

They were bullion wire on full dress and frocks, both white and rifle green, plus initially, khaki uniform too. The ‘subdued’, actually regimental pattern black on green skill-at-arms badges, were for khaki drill and drab service dress and not introduced in that colouration until after WW2 if I recall correctly. For comparison see enclosed photo of a corporal in a rifle regiment, probably KRRC, between 1905 and 1914. Note marksman badge compared with rank stripes.
