is this a good first world war or a copy.

Its an awful fake I am afraid.

Wrong metal and wrong maker to name just 2 things.

I thought that Bodhill & Parker mark was accepted as being OK ?

It’s genuine. BP & Co did make S.Staffs badges. The badge is from the correct die and the mark is also correct.

Would appear to be under some very moody lighting as it does look a strange colour.

This badge does not belong to me.
when my friend introduced it to me, I doubted its originality.
especially with the strike.

I'm going to ask him for better pictures

It appears from the photographs to be absolutely fine and very typical with a really nice patina, which is not an easy thing to fake, but, if you are not happy, you can send it to me!
