Officers York and Lancaster
Hi Gents,
Could you please advise if this WM York and Lancaster cap badge on lugs is ok and an officers badge, central rose has small traces of red enamel and has a good strike. Thanks, Colin. |

It seems to be a white metal but has a silver look about it but hard to tell because of the dark pictures.
It looks to me like a volunteer battalion badge and the rear of the rose/coronet has the 'floating' appearance common to early Y&L badges. Ivan |

Looks to be a good officer quality badge to a volunteer/territorial battalion of the Young and Lovely. It is silver plate (lugs plated) with a gilt and enamel "cabbage".
