hi,

to the best of my knowledge campbell college now has a ccf and this would be affilated to the rir.

it had a otc up to 1948 before becoming a ccf force

Here are my Campbell College badges. The old OTC one is on the left. I have two of these, one with lugs and one with a slider. The later chrome one, I believe is worn by the Campbell College pipe band to this day.

I have no idea who, if any the OTC were affiliated to, but I remember that the army CCF unit were affiliated to the Royal Irish Rangers. I presume they are now badged Royal Irish Regiment.

My lugged OTC example was in my Dad's box of badges, and the slidered on came in a box of WW1 vintage badges (including all my CEF badges)

Apparently the school war memorial is very impressive.

Kiwisapper should be able to enlighten when he returns from tropical climes.

Default Campbell College Band

Campbell College CCF also have a pipe band who wear a Campbell clan brooch as a cap badge. There is a book I think simply called Campbell College, has some good photos of the cadets, and a history.

This shows the CCF in Battledress wearing the old OTC badge.

K&K show a boars head badge as well - this was later CCF badge and also worn by the school's pipe band. The pipe band is 100 years old and is still going.

The CCF badge in use in the 1950's and 60's

The windows behind the cadets are two maths classrooms (or at least were when I was there) and they all lead onto the great hall.

We wore a cap badge with a simple boars head, as did the pipe band.

The classroom to the right of where the photographer is standing was for RE and I specifically remember a copy of Razzle being thrown out of the window by the teacher one day....
