Default Pegasus and parachute qualification badge

Hi

Can someone confirm me that the Pegasus badges on this BD are the ww2 type? They look good to me if I compare them to sets sold on dealer websites.

The parachute qualification wing is good in my opinion. Nice dark blue background in stead of the standard khaki.

The Pegasus flashes are fine Stef but I'm unable to give the wing a thumbs up (or down!). I'm sure one of the others will be able to tell you more

Stef,

The wing looks like a nice WW2 example.

Thank you both! This confirms my suspicion that it is a BD blouse from a Belgian SAS volunteer. New recruits since the liberation of Belgium wore the blue parachute wing. It has Belgian rank insignia dating it to 1946. But with ww2 insignia so maybe already enlisted in 1944.
Battledress is canadian and dated April 1944

Included a picture of the BD (Belgian rank is sergeant)

Another picture from the book From SAS to special forces group 75 jaar Belgische special forces. BD of corporal Verschueren. It has the same insignia configuration.

Default Pegasus and parachute wings

That is a really nice battledress top. Is the book you mention still available to buy and, if so, please can you give more details? Thank you.

Hi Stef

Pegasus is a good British wartime example note it is a paste back , which is always a good sign.

Well done

Thanks for posting - always good to see new additions. The variety of battledress attributed to 'free forces' volunteers etc is fascinating. I really enjoy learning more.
