Omani Military Uniforms / Badges etc

Gents,(and ladies),

I am gathering together quite a nice collection of Omani badges and bits and pieces since arriving here in Muscat. Two months left and lots more scrounging to do !

I am asking if anyone can supply me with any pictures / scans etc, of badges or patches being worn on different uniforms. I have asked locally about dress regs here and have something in the pipeleine to obtain an old copy for reference. Are there any books or leaflets out there about this subject?

Looking forward to any help anyone can give me.

Shaun, I haven't managed to get my hands on any SF items at the minute but I'm keeping my eyes peeled.

The only cloth formation badge I have is a RAFO security / police branch patch, would you be interested 54? There's one in my Oman album if you want a look at one, let me know as I have a spare one you can have.

I'm still on the lookout for bits and pieces so if I get anything I'll try and get a couple of them. I should be going to the Parachute Regiment's HQ at Mussanah soon so I might be able to get some stuff there hopefully.
