Just curious, were there markings in some of the badges' rear sides?

Hi Justin,
Thanks for the heads up on #5. That's very helpful. The transjordanian driver badge has Boutacy London stamped on the reverse. Apart from that there is nothing really helpful. the verdict on #10 is still out since it looks for all the world to be a Gold Coast Territorial Force badge but has Nancy stamped on the scroll instead. You're most welcome. If possible is there a rear view shot of #11, #19 and #20? its a low chance but the fixings may tell something of its origin.

What type of fitting ? Could the 'raised' G.C.T.F. have been ground off and Nancy then stamped on the scroll ? .

Hi Justin
Thanks for the identification of the Indian cavalry badge. I wasn't sure I would get that one solved. I have uploaded photos of the backs you requested. Good luck! Bill |

You're most welcome.
#11 is very similar to cockade badges seen in Eastern Europe, looking into that angle should help. I may have seen this somewhere but currently unsure. |

Collar badges are listed as Height: 29mm Width: 25mm ,the scroll is a different shape and the 'Nancy' looks like a very amateur job.
Looks like a badly made local/bazaar copy/item. ![]() .

Bill,
Could this badge be a sweetheart/souvenir/fashion item with NANCY being a girl's name? It doesn't look to be of great quality especially the stamping. David. |

Thanks David,
Yes I wondered about the 'sweetheart' angle. I think you are probably right and as you say not a great item just a bit of a puzzle when I found it. Bill |

Hi Bill,
If possible, I would like to see better front view photos of #3, 6 and 20. For #3 best if you can also take a rear view shot. For #19, based on the manufacturing method and lugs, I surmise looking into Middle-east and African Militaria, especially regions that had British influence. May have some results. For #8-9 I think font style of the letters is a clue. Currently unlikely they were of Canadian origin. I would like to know its material, condition and lug design.
