Information needed about 4th South African Armoured Car Regiment

I've recently been looking into the 4th South African Armoured Car Regiment during the second world war.

One question I have is, when did they acquire the desert rats jerboa insignia, and were these regularly worn on their uniforms?

Hi

Can't really provide guidance on the dates, but can confirm that they were all worn. My Grandfather was in the RNC & IV Armoured Car Regt in WWII and I have all of his badges including the ones that you are referring to.
