Default 49th division formation badge??????

Can anyone please help me with this item. At first glance it appears to be a 49th
division formation sign,Made of white metal with a screw back etc only this one has a sort of rosette/ribbon affair on it as in the photo`s.
Any ideas at all would be gratefully recieved Cheers Andy.

I wish I knew, Andy. "Best in Show"? Looks like one of those awards for potted geraniums or whatever! David

Default 49th Division

These 49th division badges often turn up with some form of cloth backing.

My guess would be Liverpool Scottish as the blue could be a representation of the Cameron Highlanders blue hackle. The Liverpool Scottish were affiliated to them from 1937.

If anyone has any firm identification on other backings I'd be interested to know

Default YORKSHIRE DRAGOONS [OFFICERS FELT-HAT BADGE]

I found the identification of this badge after a lot of searching in Kipling & King.
It is item no 1315 YORKSHIRE DRAGOONS.
description reads as: Officer`s felt hat-badge,A rose in white metal size 2.8 cms, set on a rosette of dark-blue corded ribbon size 6.5 cms. Worn with a plume of dark-fawn [whatever the last bit refers to maybe a hackle.]
Approved 9th september 1902.
Sorry David not for a Geranium display or any other flowers.
