Intriguing brass shoulder title

I have discovered a plain brass shoulder title with the word ' TANGIER' Does anybody know which regiment this might refer to?

One sold at auction a few years ago just listed with other titles such as "Gambia" just listed as part of a collection of African shoulder titles.

This is an old mystery that was raised in publications like Crown Imperial many years, not sure anyone ever got to the bottom of it.
