what period are these patches and what are they for ??

General issue velcro shoulder patches (left shoulder below the rising sun 'biscuit'). Left one is AMCU (Australian multicam camouflage uniform) which recently replaced the DPCU (disruptive pattern camouflage uniform) on the right , with the matching army uniforms.
