I have one of these, was told it might or might not be legit.
Apparently and this comes from an ex Koevoet chap, many badges were made by guys on leave in SA in small batches and taken back to SWA. There is no definitive book on these Koevoet badges and many variations pop up from time to time. A few people claim to be experts but from what I have been told there are definitely badges not on record. There are some well known fakes and these are on record as such. Brian |

Those are all fake produced for the collectors market. Were mostly snapped up by the Americans

I don't think Koevoet wore anything but cloth flashes, so all of the metal lucite covered flashes are pure fantasy.
