I have no idea either, I have accumulated 2 different ones as they are not common. I do not know how we can prove either way, but my sensible thoughts are why go for something you have to upkeep when you can have a nickel plated or white metal badge and do nothing to keep it shining .
What I can say is both my examples have not been plated , and compared with each other are very different so would indicate possibly more than one manufacturer perhaps? Regards Paul |
