Default 12th Mr opinions needed

I am buying a few New Zealand badges for Ray from Wales,to add to his nice collection.I bought this one on trademe ,described as a bronze cap badge for $125 buy now.Trouble is that it doesn't look too bronze to me,but i haven't seen another to compere it with.Maybe sandcast brass?I would appreciate any opinions ,so that i don't disapoint the customer.

Cheers Iain

Default bz 12th NZMR

I have a very nice flat back (die cast) 12th NZMR bronze badge but missing lugs

this one I believe you got from ACW in Wgtn - it looks like a poor quality cast badge

if I remember right I have actually handled it on one of my pick up visits from there and was not impressed

Looks like an ok sand cast badge to me.
I doubt it was worn by an officer, but anything is possible as many officers did wear brass ordinary rank badges.
Not worth $125 IMO.

Hello Wayne and Brent,

Thanks for your opinions.I take spending other peoples money serioiusly.I have bought about between 200-300 badges in the last 8 years ,this is the frst(other than that bastar$d that sold me a one lugger ,and couldn't man up) that i have had an issue .

Unless they made yellow bronze at one stage then this is not bronze ,as stated (Yes Wayne this is the AC-W one )Will go for a refund I think given it is false avertising.

What do you think Ray?

Default (Bronze cum Brass Badge)

Hi Iain, You are spot on, The guy advertised it as Bronze.
If he is in the badge game he needs to change his glasses
As he is giving misleading information.
If you have a problem with him Iain Set your dogs on to him, LoL
regards
Ray.
The last time I had a problem with a dealer he sold me a silver badge and the hall mark had been doctored.
He refunded when i told him i will be knocking on his door.

No worries Ray,we had our own special forces on stand by (Kathryn) but not needed .The guys at AC-W have offered full or part refund to their credit.Still a little clumsy on their part.Full credit all round
