Flocked titles
One method of making cloth titles was a technique called flocking. This is basically spraying the design or name on the base fabric. These titles were made for some units early in WW2, and the method was also used on the army cadet titles and some others after the war.
Attached is an example of a flocked WW2 title to the Pictou Highlanders. I know of a few others including Les Fusiliers Mont Royal, and the VIII Canadian Hussars. A few formation patches have been found made in the flocked method. What flocked titles do others have? (Not including the army cadet issues.) |
