Corps of Australian Signallers 1900-1912
A photo of The Corps of Australian Signallers showing some nice insignia.
The chap kneeling on his left knee is wearing 4/CAS shoulder titles and the bloke next to him kneeling on his right knee is wearing 3/CAS titles. Both Officers are wearing collar size hat badges and the soldier second from right in slouch hat has a full size hat badge. Phil. |

Thanks Keith, it is a nice photo. Do you know what other numbered shoulder title there were?

Hi Phil,
Sorry, no. I don't think I ever had a CAS title, let alone numbered, and Graham Donley doesn't illustrate any numbered ones in his Signals badge book. Keith |

Sigs Shoulder Titles
G'day Phil
If you go back to your post under other corps headed Corps of Australian Signals 1906 - 1912 and look at my post of 2.6.17 you will see that we have a photo of men wearing 4 over CAS shoulder titles, this is the large photo in Badge Collectors post below. However we do not have an example for me to photograph. I hope that this helps. Regards Phil. |
