This badge turned up in a garage in Durban. Can anyone give me some info on when it was worn etc

Its Pre WW1 Cadet Corp,, as to authenticity i'm not sure but looks ok to me

Thanks for the info. I think that it is probably ok , but nobody in SA actually collects Aussie badges ( as far as I know), so there is no one local to discuss it with - thank goodness for the internet.
