Default 6th SA Armoured Div anti-aircraft

Not many of these pictures showing SA Chaps in their tunics with AA insignia have turned up. This is only the second one I have seen with the "Double AA" badge visible on a South African uniform.

For a long time everyone I spoke out here considered these were only worn by UK troops.

Hope this helps?

Brian

Nice Brian,

There was a thread on the forum regarding the AA patch some years ago, a photo provided, with the thought that these were worn by the AA personnel when many of the regiments were transferred to the SAAF.

If he is 1/12 LAA Regt or 3/56 HAA Bty with 6 SA Armd Div then they were still Army so very interesting to know.

Keith
