Interesting Fake ARP Badge listing on eBay
Well this is one way to raise awareness of badge fakes: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Photos-Of...s/324083414250

I saw this one too...quite a novel way of raising doubts.....no one's gonna pay £1,000 for HIS badge anyway....but if they did......?????

Hello,
The gentleman in question, has very cleverly set this up to expose the con artist who is selling these fakes. I hope more people will follow suit, to expose the crooks on eBay and help stop the countless buyers who get ripped off daily. Kind regards, Trog22 |

It is quite an interesting example though in that ALL their (GWR) helmet markings SHOULD be the same...unlike a lot of Companies, GWR laid down the Spec. in the Handbook...but even then there were variants...even in period pics. I know nowt about badges (sorry) but is there a possibility of regional variations / non-compliances?
I'm not trying to kick open a door here or give "wrong" items any credence... |
