Frosted Parachute Regiment cap badge.
I am not sure if frosted is the correct term but it definitely has a subdued finish. Is this unusual or how they were issued?

Could well be the known version of this badge which has a silverwash finish. It is not very durable which is why you can see the brass base showing through.
You can find some old posts on the forum about this. Jack. |

I tend to just leave badges alone, it is just age, give it a wipe if you feel the need to.

digressing, the " clubman " flew Corsairs in the Pacific and the "Coronaman" drove bowsers.
