Default SP (SPECIAL PROFICIENCY) CLOTH BADGE

hi all,

i have this sp (spcial proficiency) cloth badge,60x45mm.its a bit rough i know,thats why it was not dear,but is someone able to date it please?.

also what was the special proficiency,something more than a trade badge?

all help apprecated

Default Special Proficiency Badge

The badge for Special Proficiency was authorised in 1938 by AO 41 of 1938 for Regular trained soldiers considered to be of above average proficiency, a grading that increased their pay by 3d a day. The badge was declared obsolete in February 1951.
