LATEST ADDITION APTC
Thought this was worth posting, a KC APTC cap badge with reenforced crown.
This arrived today from memory only the second I've seen with this construction. Cheers Tony.

An article on APTC badges in Crown Imperial magazine describes these as "Crown-sword joint reinforced with wire is rare trial pattern." Initially issued in G/M but changed to W/M in 1936. Most I've seen are chrome or nickel plated, your W/M version is the first I've seen.

Having just read this post, I have had a look at 2 of the APTC, both white metal cap badges with brass slider in my collection.
Both have the strengthening at the rear of the crown - see (bad) photo's so...
