Default Hi all.

Hi all.

I’m Brian, I’ve been a member for a few months now, so thought it about time I put something on here. I’ve been collecting for many years on and off and have recently decided to concentrate on 2 regiments; The Essex and The Middlesex and the constituent units that formed them, e.g the VBs and Rifle Volunteers.

Essex because one side of the family originated from there, lived in the small villages and a fair number of distant Uncles and the like fought and died in WW1with The Essex Regiment. Middlesex because an old neighbour fought with them in WW2 and gave me his badge some years ago.

A quick thanks to you all for everything I have learnt so far, which is a great deal, from reading the posts, and the knowledge that individuals have is amazing.

My first question for the wise ones is: Is the 2nd Middlesex, (that became the 10th TA Battalion of The Middlesex Regiment), the same as the 2nd (South) Middlesex; The South Middlesex and The South Middlesex Rifle Volunteers, or are they all separate and distinct.

I can't seem to find the answer on t'internet, some information states that 2nd Middx became 10th TA Middx Regt other bits state 2nd Middx RV became part of The London Regiment etc.

Also, it’s probably me, but I can’t access the Albums, any advice please?

Thanks in advance

Brian

Welcome to the Forum. I think that once you have posted you can now access the Albums.

Default Opening albums

Thanks for the reply.

I knew it was me, born 200 years too late I was. As soon as I posted, I had access to the albums and what a pleasure to browse through them.
Regards
Brian
