Helmet Plate
Hi Gents,
Another badge from my friends inherited collection. Would appreciate opinions on what I think is a Royal Engineers gilding helmet plate. Thanks Kevin |

Its normally the Unicorns Horn which is missing!

The crown has either been repaired or as seen on other helmet plates, a QVC has been replaced with a KC.

Thanks for your replies. Was it normal practice to recycle helmet plates with the latest crowns during the life of the badge? Kevin |

It's not common by any means, I first thought the plate below was converted, but I think it's a repair.
