Queen Mary's Army Auxiliary Corps Question
In surfing the net I came across a picture of a QMAAC badge that has a burnt orange backing to it. I have not seen that before. I first thought about the beech brown of the ATS, but that is more red hue and this is definitely more orange. Any thoughts?
Thanks, Terry |

The various sections of the Womens Legion wore different coloured backings to their cap badges and it might be that this was carried over to the WAAC/QMAAC. An orange badge backing was worn by the Mechanical Section of the Womens Legion.

Thanks Jerry, some really good info and possibilities there. I've only ever seen the one badge with the burnt orange backing, and it looks to be a felt backing.
