Default Lancers Cloth Title

Can anyone shed any light on this well-made title please?

I can find no trace of this regiment. Possibly from a film?

Jon

Smile Lancers Cloth Title

I would say this was made for a film/play.

Not necessarily, looks at the 16/5 Lancers. 5th Lancers disbanded for a while (I think) and then reformed, so 16th takes the precedence.
Cheers,
Alex

Neither the 22nd (Sam Browne's) Cavalry, pre-1947 Indian Army, nor the 22nd Cavalry, Pakistani Armoured Corps were ever styled 'Lancers'. And certainly neither had VII battalions.

My thanks to all who have contributed. It does seem that it was probably a film title.
