Default RAF KC full size bullion Pilot wings

Hi all,

I acquired this set of full size bullion wings many moons ago from a local Emporium shop.

If authentic, does any member have any idea when or on what they may have been used?

A dealer had a similar pair on their on-line shop a few years back (but with 7 not 8 feathers) and thought it was circa 1918. The rear fitting to that badge is almost identical to the one I have.

Won't lose too much sleep if it's a dud as it didn't cost that much. It is a nice addition to my 'normal' wing collection anyway.

Regards

Graham

The fastening suggests tropical use and the Tropical Full Dress was the only uniform to feature (and still does) gold embroidered flying badges. I think the item is a local tailor version, most probably made and worn in India.
