RAF KC full size bullion Pilot wings
Hi all,
I acquired this set of full size bullion wings many moons ago from a local Emporium shop. If authentic, does any member have any idea when or on what they may have been used? A dealer had a similar pair on their on-line shop a few years back (but with 7 not 8 feathers) and thought it was circa 1918. The rear fitting to that badge is almost identical to the one I have. Won't lose too much sleep if it's a dud as it didn't cost that much. It is a nice addition to my 'normal' wing collection anyway. Regards Graham |

The fastening suggests tropical use and the Tropical Full Dress was the only uniform to feature (and still does) gold embroidered flying badges. I think the item is a local tailor version, most probably made and worn in India.
