Possibly too large for your device. I can see a lot of varnished wood from a table top on which is a badge. Can the photos be cropped?

Right, well those bosses look like they are for pressing into a hole in metal and perhaps peening over. Have the military ever made badges like that for cars like auto club badges? It's a good size from your description.
