Default Duke of Cornwall LI

Purchased this little badge assuming it to be an Officers collar badge.
Google searching came up with the attached image of the same size badge fitted to an Officers cap.
Also of note is the length of the fixing lugs, more suited to a cap than a collar.
So I now think its a cap badge.
Any comments welcome.
Tony.

Definitely a cap badge - and a beauty it is too! Well done!

An officer's cap badge, the smaller version introduced during the 1950's (I have one which was sold as a collar badge).
AlanO will be able to tell you more, and I think he posted a list of the units who adopted the smaller cap badges, including DCLI, R Lincs, R Leics ....

Thanks Paul and Leigh.
I agree it is a 'little beauty'.
Tony.
