Default Help identifying cap badge

Hi there,

My great-grandfather served in WW2 but no one seems to know the regiment he served in, as he never spoke about it. All I have is the attached photo, and a card that he sent his mother (possibly from France).

Any ideas?

Many thanks.

Jamie

Looks like it might be Royal Engineers.

Default Thank you

Thank you both. I had a feeling it was either RAF or Royal Engineer. A newspaper cutting listed him as S.P.R. Dee which threw me a little, as i always thought the abbreviated version of Sapper was Spr.

At least it now gives me a little more to work on. I have a feeling I will need to request a copy of his military records as I can find nothing on him online.

Thank you once again.
