Default 9th Lancers/14th/20th Hussars ideas

I have two items for the 9th Lancers and 14th/20th Hussars of which I am not sure of their purpose.

The 9th Lancers is cut from sheet brass, 40mm wide, 28mm high with lugs 18mm long.

The 14th/20th Hussars is in blackened white metal with small screws N-S, this is the same size as the normal 14th/20th Hussars, I did think this could be from a car badge but who would want a blackened car badge?

Any thoughts would be welcome.

Rob

The 14th/20th badge - possibly an arm badge without its oval backing plate, it appears identical including the n/s screwposts.

A KRH one:

The eagle may not be 14th /20th.
We mentioned a few weeks ago that the Royal Gurkha Rifles use the eagle as a pouch badge. This would fit with the screw fittings.
