Interesting NAAFI Cap Badge

Hi All,

I picked this NAAFI cap badge up out of curiosity as much as interest. I'm guessing it had the usual bronze finish but it has been polished off?

I didn't know they were what appears to be covered brass rather than bronze, or am I off the mark and this is actually a brass one.

I've put it next to standard one so you can see the difference in colour a bit easier.

Either way I found it interesting as it has clearly been worn a lot.

Under the applied brown colour of bronze items is the natural brass coloured metal.
