Default Kings Crown

Does anyone have an idea when we can expect to see regimental badges changing to kings crown or if regiments will change names to reflect the change of monarch.
Just curious at what drives the process and timing
cheers
Steve

The last official statement I read was that there is no necessity to change the Crown. How ever I have also been told by a couple of QMs that there might be new badges next year.

i have heard something similar at Abbey Wood Marc, but there was also mention of some regiments retaining the "Queens" in the the regimental title but others changing to "Kings" I was curious about the process and if it was a regimental decision. Already noticed C3 has his head on coins out this December.

Due to RAB the MOD no longer holds huge stocks of kit so I expect the current Q/C stocks of cap badges to be run down relatively quickly so it will depend on how keen regiments are to change the insignia.

Will it not be the case that change of badge design will be down to the Army Dress Committee and other service committees..

I suspect those Regiments most involved in the Coronation next year will make it a priority, Grenadier Guards insignia with cyphers for example.
