Armoured car
Any idea what this might be? It's 38 mm (1.5") long. Got it as a part of a lot that consisted of Tank and MGC British badges.

That looks like a Lanchester Armoured car,1920's to 30's.

Crossley Mark I
Thanks for the guesses. I started looking at the period armoured cars and the Crossley Mark I is the closest match - the turret shape and the two rear axles match.

Very similar to 9th/12th Lancers Armoured Car Crewman.
Originated WW1 with the development of the armoured car based on a Rolls Royce. https://www.etsy.com/your/shops/TheM...ble/1084373344 |

The rear pin fitting certainly looks continental - resembles French manufacture as suggested.

I agree the rear pin looks French but I have checked my reference books on French armored car units and tank units and this badge does not appear in any of them. It might be an unofficial badge but the books I have checked do contain a range of common unofficial badges as well, but not this one !
Almost all of the French badges which are comprised of only an armoured car have the car facing left, not right. There are a few badges where the armoured car is only part of the design and it faces to the right, but their convention seems to be for them to normally be left facing. |

Interesting.
The fact that the vehicle looks like a British Crossley Mark I and the dimensions of the pin are 1.5 inches I lean towards UK or US. These armored cars may have served with Canadian army too... Maybe it's just a sweetheart brooch... |

That pin design is also used on German Tinnies?
