Question 51st Highland Division patch

I have had this 51st Highland Division patch patch for a while, I am not sure whether it's Royal Engineers or Royal Artillery, thoughts and help appreciated.
Thanks for looking

Could be either one! The RA had the blue side forward when worn and the RE the red side. In this case the other insignia has no forward facing side, so it is RA if worn on the left arm and RE if worn on the right.

Other way around (says a former Gunner) Red to front, to represent "barrel flash" for the Royal Artillery, blue to front for the Royal Engineers.

Default 51st Highland Division patch

Thanks for your replies, this is difficult as I collect to units our families have served in and there are two Gunners and two Sappers who have served, so I am just going to put it on my 51st Div patch board.
