Default India Air Force - what period?

Hi all,

Looking some advice please. What's the rank and can it be determinate as well from what period this shoulder title was in use? Any idea of the value?

From the Lions of Ashoka, it must be post-1947 but, given the gold braid - a Flight Commander, I think - probably '50s or so. Not sure when the IAF went to blue on blue rank tabs, but that seems to be what they wear now.
