Default Anodised Chaplain (Christian & Jewish) - in Firmin packaging

Gents - purely for interest, a recent find;- a Jewish Chaplains cap badge in AA in a firmin bag dated 14/7/05. Has the correct NSN 8455 99 130 3809 and is a badge for correct issue from MOD stores. It has blades, situated high on the shoulder as we find and is not maker marked.

An earlier find a year or 2 ago was the Christian example in a Firmin bag dated 26/1/11, bearing NSN 8455 99 130 3799.

Both are uncommon to find in a bag of issue.

Both examples are also found with lugs.

Posted for interests sake.

Regards all

Bess

Nice find. Plenty of none issued items around but with blades, in the bags. can't get better than that.

Thanks Steve - I know the Jewish example has been discussed on the forum before - generally sceptical- which is all good healthy debate - and I agree that you can write the names on the back of a postage stamp of Rabbi's who have ever been issued one! But nice to find what certainley appears to be a bona-fide example.

Really nice, I've recently started collecting chaplains badges so it's good to see a definite original example to refer to.
