R.C.A.V.C. Ebay Listed Cap Badge
Hello All,
I will appreciate opinions on the cap badge in the following listing: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Royal-Canadi...aIe:rk:39:pf:0 The vendor has indicated that "There was concern this was a fake. I have had this verified as original on BBF." I searched the forum, but was unable to find any reference to the vendor's claim. The intention of my query is not to discredit, but to simply confirm, for educational purposes, whether this is an authentic item. Cheers, Walt

With the large C stamped in the slider, one would think it is a copy.

Exactly my thought Bill. Perhaps one of Bondy's badges? What concerns me is that the vendor claims that it was "verified as original" as a genuine issued badge through this forum "BBF".

Bondy
I have around 40 of the known bondy badges and have not seen one with a slider. Bondy did mark some of his badges with a similar C though.

The RCAVC is not listed on Bondy's sales list. Not to say that is conclusive, but he did not have a repro of it in 1989. Oliver has made an observation that he has not seen Bondy badges with sliders, and neither have I.
