Andy,

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Not convinced that they are "made in theatre", I had the glengarry as a copy and the other as a fantasy.

Cheers,

Andy C

The TF badge design is based on an officer's pattern badge worn by the TF from 1908. It was never to my knowledge issued to ORs.

You can buy an identical badge from at least one ebay seller who has a limitless stock.

I agree, the "Blackpool Tower" badge is 100% fake, whereas the other looks like a nice "Theatre Made" example? I would keep one and "Mag to Grid" the other!

Alan - thanks for clarification.

Andy - the "Blackpool Tower" badge is actually growing on me, I know it's totally a fantasy badge, but is very much an original with the South Africa added, It's not trying to copy anything, and you can just imagine an old squaddie adding it/having it added for his own jollies. I think it's worth keeping for the infered history/or merely as a fantasy.

cheers,

Andy C

Andy,
it is not a genuine badge with a scroll added I'm sorry to say! It is a 100% repro, the slider is wrong and there is very little reverse detail! The front looks mistruck too!

Bin it!

Andy
