As the package of the badge shown is dated 2012 I'm wondering if the diamonds signify the diamond jubilee of the queen? If so it would be the first maker mark that can be exactly dated provided Firmin only use it this year.
Anyone have a diamond marked slider from an earlier year?

Rgds,

Thomas

Unfortunately yes, it can never be that easy in badge collecting
