Default Canadian Guards Piper's Bandsman badge

A bit quiet on the Canadian front. Here is an example of the queen's crown cap badge for the Canadian Guards Bandsman. The badge is a one piece striking, finished in a gilt wash?
Some sources suggest these badges were not issued.

Interesting the one I have is a heavy white metal two piece with sturdy screw back UTILIZING hat badge with enamel centre . These like the RCR Goose BAY one are unit purchase and I feel perfectly correct .

Bill, I thought these were for the PIPE band, rather than general band issue.

Unfortunately, every photo I have of a CanGuards piper shows the wrong side of the Glengarry. This is the best I can do but it would appear that a piper's badge was worn by at least one of the two battalions that had pipe-bands. The piper's badge was not worn on the feather bonnet though.
