Default J.R Gaunt RAF V.R emblem

I have also got this RAF emblem in my possession also which i know nothing about. i took it to my local army surplus store and he told me to contact the RAF association so i am currently waiting for them to get back in touch with me. all i know about it is that it is pre-1953 going on the shape of the crown on the top. Any info from you guys would be greatly appreciated thanks guys

the interesting thing about this one is the enamel ribbon on the bottom. none of the JR gaunt emblems have this and i cannot find out what that ribbon if that is what it is, i cannot find out what it means or where it comes from i have looked all over and cannot look it up.

The ribbon below the badge reproduces the RAFVR ribbon, or the stripe on its tie.
