Rhodesian buttons
Please help! I have some tunic buttons bearing a seven flame grenade under which is a scroll “RHODESIA” I dare not think they are artillery, might they be engineers? If not, who did wear them? Thank you, D.J.

Thank you Milmed, I thought that might be the case but I only collect to the Artillery, (and bought these in the hope they might be Artillery), so they’re now consigned to the “trade/swap” box. The back mark seems to be METALAN PRETORIA, does that give an era of manufacture? Best regards, David J.

I think it should say METAL ART Pretoria. The buttons are from the 1960' to 1970's

Yes, you’re right Milmed, very little space between L of Metal & A of art plus top part of R & the T is missing in ART making the word look like AN. Thank you again for the addition to your original reply. Best regards, David J.
