Default Unknown Regimental Name Tags

Hello,

I have accidentally come into the possession of literally hundreds of these woven Regiment titles to lots of different Infantry and Corps. These are just a sample shown

Can someone please tell me what they and have they any value?

I will be selling the lot.

regards

Simon, I'm pretty sure they are a commercially produced item and not worn or issued in any way. Think 'morale patch' and youre getting there I believe. I'm sure they have been didcussed here before, but I couldnt find the thread. Happy to be wrong as I have a Royal Anglian example somewhere.

Default Helmet tapes

I have this small collection of some of these and I was told they were for attaching to Helmets. If this is true or not I don't know.

Not true I am afraid. In the early 1990's name tapes were sometimes worn on helmets: often on the back. RMAS cadets wore them on the front. However these practice died out. Rgtl titles were never worn on helmets.

The use of mostly incorrect titles and full stops are an indicator that these tapes are totally spurious,
