Default OFFICER'S HELMET PLATE ROYAL MIDLOTHIAN YEOMANRY CAVALRY

Hello Collectors,

Just added another new find for 2023 to my Cavalry/Yeomanry dragoon helmet collection... a silver and gilt Officers helmet plate to the Royal Midlothian Yeomanry Cavalry as worn circa 1860 through 1871. Troops wore a plate of the same pattern all in white metal. Perhaps one of the most attractive helmet plates attributable to the Yeomanry Cavalry.

Hello Jerry,

I agree with you, these plates were absolutely lovely fine works of art and if is in marvelous condition with all its original mounting lugs in place. Compare this plate to the later plate on my Lothian and Berwickshire Yeomanry Cavalry helmet as worn circa 1888 through 1901...
