Default Ww1 Ppcli Gold

HERE IS A GOLD MEDAL PRESENTED TO MY UNCLE CHASE PORTER A MCGIL MAN WHO WAS SERIOUSLY WOUNDED JUST AFTER FREEZENBURG. THE FRONT READS "MCGIL RESERVE UP THE PRINCESS PATS" and the reverse reads PRESENTED TO C.T PORTER BY ARGYLL LODGE 212 IOFF NAPANEE ONTARIO 1915 THEN GOLD HALLMARKS

Pretty cool Paul. Your Uncle was in the Imperial Order of Foresters, a pseudo-masonic order which still exists today but involved more so in insurance now.

THANKS for that info Greg he suffered greatly from his wounds and died very young he was buried with his medals and I have one other gold engraved watch case.
