Default Indian Cavalry badge for identification

All, I would appreciate any assistance with identifying this cavalry badge that I presume is Indian as it came with a number of Indian Cavalry badges.

Hi, Possibly a variation of 1st Duke of York's Own Lancers (Skinner's Horse).

Could be ... that was my guess as well, but not being an Indian Badge collector not sure.
