Default Royal Lancers motto badge????

I am sure whether the Royal Lancers OR badge is cloth and metal combination. Saw this one as 17th/21st Queens Royal Lancers (which it is not).

Is this a dud or a full metal Royal Lancers motto?

Regards
Chris

Not the Royal Lancers.
The badge you show was related to the QRL . I recall Mac mentioning something to do with toast racks. I maybe mistaken .

Possibly one of the NCO sleeve badges produced in October 1999 for The Queen's Royal Lancers, which were rejected and the majority returned. A cloth badge was chosen instead. The returned badges were then purchased by a dealer and sold on as the new QRL sleeve badge. At least one badge was worn by the Provost Sergeant on his brassard.

Marc

Edit: 1990 was my typo and not what I originally have in my records.
