Default Can anyone identify

Was given this by an uncle, we thougt it might be half a German nurses belt buckle, any ideas

the blue swastika was normally found in items relating to the FINLAND PARTY. But may be pre war and have nothing to do with the nazis just a good luck symbol

Blue Swastika was also found on the "Mothers Cross". Actually, I take that back. I just took a look at the Mothers Cross and the Swastika is in black.

I believe it is a pre-war fashion item, my mother has several pendants and bracelets with a similar design from the 1930s.

Hello Matelot - I do not believe that your half of a belt buckle has anything to do with either Nazi Germany or Finland. I believe you have half of a private purchase petersham belt buckle worn by qualified State Registered Nurses of a pattern popular in the first quarter of the 20th century. There are many collectors of nursing memorabilia and you may just find its mate - they are not too uncommon. Regards. David
