Laurent,
This is the Formation Badge worn by War Office Controlled Units in the 1950s to 1960s. Such units included Schools of Instruction which did not have their own badge. It exists with King’s and Queen’s Crown in printed and embroidered form both left and right facing and is very common. A few examples here. Tim
